Kicked Off the Web Rig Due To - 01/24/2009
We recently added our site to this web ring. Having several domain names redirected to our site in the web not on the web ring, nothing unusual for web sites, we had a problem with our main domain name with them not us so we added another one that worked. When we got activation emails there was an activation for both domain names but we activated only one of them. We went through the process of adding their link to our index page on our site with a few minor issues but we did get it on there.
We also noticed that we were not getting any hits off the web ring but we still let it stay there.
THEN! we got an email from the web ring that was a little pushy and obnoxious..Quote:Identical submission from two different User IDs. When you get past the identity crisis, feel free to make a SINGLE submission.End Quote. NO HUMAN signed the email either so maybe they're the ones with the identity crisis.
Now that is about as obnoxious as I've ever seen before and there was no way to contact them to explain what happened. All replies were returned so we removed their link banner off our site.
In our business anyone can talk to a HUMAN on the phone and the person's email won't be sent back as Mail Delivery Failure.
They seem to want links to them but they do not want us to be able to communicate with them.
We did a WHO IS on them and found their info but we decided to forget it and move on. We receive several 1000 hits a day on our site and we're satisfied with that.
Being the good people we are we wish them and all of their members the best with their web ring but we are done with them.

is somewhat "curt" certainly. But, you weren't kicked off THE WebRing, just a CERTAIN WebRing. You might have better luck with a different one.
