Music, the visual arts, architecture, dance... if it's a fine art, it's fine here! Tasteful commercial sites of similar concern may also be found. Pictured: "Marie Camargo," circa 1730, painted by Parisian artist Nicolas Lancret (January22, 1690 –September 14, 1743). His subject: French (as opposed to Flemish)/Belgian dancer Marie Anne de Cupis de Camargo (April 15, 1710 - some time in 1770) of the Paris Opera Ballet. La Camargo, as she was known, is credited with being the first woman to perform an entrechat quatre (meaning she leapt into the air from fifth position, crossed her legs rapidly back and forth twice (four crossings total) and landed on both feet, again in fifth position).
