Pictured: Mrs. Emmeline Goulden Pankhurst (July 15, 1858 - June 14, 1928), founder of the Women's Social and Political Union (motto: "deeds, not words"), and a major force in the British women's suffrage movement of her time. Her most famous (but certainly not only) modus operandi: the hunger strike.
