I came across this in a box of stuff at an estate sale and need some help in identifying it. Specs are as follows
1) just a fraction under 17" long total
2) Blade is 13.5 " long
3) stamped "64" on end
4) blade is 4 sided or grooved
Thought it might be this one but mine is longer.
Spike bayonet that stows in the forend of the M1936-CR39 folding-stock paratroop rifle.
This bayonet is shorter than the standard M1936 bayonet, due to the shorter barrel and forend of the M1936-CR39 rifle. CR is an abbreviation for Crosse Rebatible (Folding Stock).
I won the Modelo Argentino 1891 Weyersberg, KirschBaum & Co. Solingen. R5076 on both the Bayonet and Stabbard. Contact me at johnny4016@myway.com if interested in buying.
found a bayonet 30 years ago laying in the street with a sheeth on it believe it or not. full length 21 1/2 inches, blade 16 3/4 in length. wood grip, metal, mortise has one hole on right side, on left side has the same hole as reverse side but also has a (bump). flathead screws hold grip on. it has a sword blade with a fuller. on right side has markings x x. no other markings can be seen. be grateful if someone with knowledge could identify what war and value. thank you.
