We are a group of individuals and families that have a love for history, research, and "living" the history. Our group has approximately 20 men at arms, and 15 women and children, based in the St Louis, MO, 8 men in Ontario, 2 in Vermont and 12 in Chicago.
We are a UK based group re-enacting the period from 1740 to 1760 but specializing in the dates 1742-50 and the Jacobite Rebellion. We aim to recreate as authentically as possible a unit of soldiers in King George II's service and in so doing both entertain and educate the public.
The web site of the Museum of the British Resistance Organisation. The web site is tribute to the endeavours of the men and women of the British Resistance Organisation or "Auxiliary Units" as they were also known in England during the Second World War.
The Association is an independent organisation which is self financing, self governing, which works closely with 101 (Northumbrian) Regiment Royal Artillery (Volunteers) and presently we have over 70 members made up of serving and former Gunners from various Batteries, but we also have members from the other services.

The 4 Bradford brothers (3 in the D.L.I.): won 2 Victoria Crosses, 2 Military Crosses and a D.S.O. The youngest brother, Roland Boys Bradford, was the British Army's youngest Brigadier-General in World War I (aged only 25). When General Montgomery took over the 8th Army in North Africa, he was already 54, Roland Bradford would have been just 50 if he had survived the Great War.
