Carousel Classic

The Carousel or Merry-go-round is the oldest form of amusement ride! "carousel" dates back to 1650, whereas "merry-go-round" only dates back to 1729. The American variety almost always goes clock-wise, and the European form rotates anti-clockwise. Reputed because the horse is always mouted from the outside? The organ with the Carousel will be in the centre. The Carousel is either a jumping horse (galloper) or a stationary horse.
