Inspector LeGrasse's original Cthulhu figurine which was re-discovered in 1975 in the remains of a bookstore on Bourbon Street which had closed some years earlier. Unusual lettering found on base. Right side and front middle panel are clearly inscribed in Arabic: "Fi baitihi Ra'Allah yahlumu Kthulhuu mautaa", perhaps the classical Arabic translation of "Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn" as rendered by the mad Arab Al-Hazred. Middle-Babylonian Akkadian cuneiform is inscribed on left side with curse. Site has accurate English meaning as transcribed by Flores, descendant of the man who had run the bookshop and found the figurine.

Cumbrian Cthulhu is the home for budding horror writers who wish to have their short stories published online.
The only requirements are that the stories are set somewhere in the Cumbrian region and are based around the themes of H.P. Lovecraft legendary Cthulhu Mythos.
Feel free to supply your own original artwork to complement your story. Cthulhu poetry is accepted as well.
There are no grading systems for your submissions. As long as you are happy with your final drafts, as long as they fit the criteria above and have no illegal or libelous content, you are on!
Just watch out for those pesky Shoggoths. Oh, and the mind melting horror, be wary of that too.
