The JACOB CURTIS POWDER HORN dated 1723. Preview
— Go
This engraved powder horn from Governor Shute's War, July 25, 1722 to December 15, 1725 was carried by Jacob Curtis, a soldier in His Majesty's Service, fighting the Eastern Indians. I believe it to be the earliest dated military powder horn known that is historically associated with the New England colonies.
