The webring is dedicated to the display of Dobsonian Telescope Equatorial Platforms. They are used to track the rotation of the earth during visual and photographic observing of the sky. Anyone with a web site that has information about using or building equatorial platform, is welcome to join.
This site shows an equatorial platform that can be built with a jig saw, electric hand drill and router. The floating south mount provides good alignment without fine tuning.
A blow-by-blow account of building a 6" Dobsonian and an Equatorial Platform driven by a stepper motor. Also on the site - the use of web-cameras in astro-imaging.
