I have been searching for my gggrandfather, Frederick Gessner forever. My family Bible records show he was born, "4 Hornung 1807". He married Hannah Geise (Geiss),etc. and he is buried at St. Paul's in Urban, Pa. His tombstone says he died, "8 Sept. 1889 82 y 7m 4 d). Salem Lutheran shows several records for a Fred. Gessner and I wonder if you can copy/expand on these records or help me find more info on this man. Thank you. Please feel free to contact me at palspangler@gmail.com

I am working on my family history and am now at a standstill. My Great Grandmother was named Ellen Hornbeck, born in Indian Territory (Oklahoma) before it was a state. She was African American. The problem is that I can find No info on her, or her parents, or sibling or that that ever existed, except for little bits of info that have been handed down verbally, but have yet to find anything else.
I can find no info on any African American with surname Hornbeck, so needlesss to say, I would appreciate any help! Thanks.
