In honor of my Irish heritage, Iâd like to wish everyone Happy St. Patrick's Day. My great, great, great grandparents, on my motherâs side, wereIrish immigrants. After traveling from Ireland to America in the early 1800s, my GGGgrandfather, JohnHolmes, made his home in Philadelphia while making his living as a carpet weaver. Hemarried GGGgrand...
I had a day to myself while my daughter is at Brownie camp and I decided to combine a dog walk and some geocaching this afternoon. Took Scoobydoo and her frisbee to Nose Hill Park where the air was cold but didn't stop lots of people from being out enjoying the spring day. Unfortunately we only found two caches before my free Geocaching app for iP...

If you are in Calgary and want to learn more about geocaching, there is a group gathering next weekend to teach the basics. One thing we have not done enough of is winter caching in the snow. We find it very frustrating to have to poke around in the snow with no idea if we are even near the right tree/bush/rock. We have had some luck and I'm sure with practice it gets easier but for now we are waiting for better weather to do more geocaching. The snow has been coming do...
I know I'm a little late with my January Scrapbook page. I actually had my two page spread done weeks ago, I just didn't get it blogged. We had a fairly busy & fun January. This is the sketch I followed. It was offered by Shawn at 'Nuts about Sketches' back in early November for her Week #186 challenge . Even tho...
Pin It Thisrecipe is simple, healthy & yummy. My husband really enjoys it. It calls for fresh herbs. I honestly donâtgenerally have things on hand like fresh oregano & thyme. I used driedherbs and it came out great. I love the idea of the lemon juice. I follow the recipe except I substitute 1 carrots for about 1/2 cup of peas...
On February 29th, leap day, Groundspeak (the company behind Geocaching.com) set the goal to double the number of leap day cachers logging a find (on geocaching.com) vs. leap day 2008. Considering the significance of leap day to geocachers, this was considered a fairly lofty goal, but that significance (along with a little online reward)...

We got the jump on Family Day and spent our Sunday together geocaching in local neighbourhoods last weekend. The littlest goat decided she only wanted to do 3 caches, but after each one she said, "Well, just one more!" until we had done 6 caches and run out of steam. When we could not find the seventh cache we decided that was a good time to return...
