Everyone,
I was doing routine maintenance on the Journey Webring, and realized that a number of sites were missing, through no fault of their own. On further checking, I realized it was all the sites that had the Ring's navigation code in odd places (ie, on a "links" page).
I check the Ring management area and found that Webring added a function to auto-suspend sites without the ringcode, and then to AUTO-delete sites that are suspended for a week. AND Webring turned that function on as a default.
Webring only reads code as "valid" if it's on the site front page or a webring.html page. Unfortunately, this means that a number of great sites were deleted from the Ring through no fault of their own.
If you are one of the affected sites, PLEASE re-apply to the Journey Ring at

If you are not sure, shoot me a message through the Ring system. I will add your site back in as fast as possible, and I apologize for the problem.
You might need to update your Ring code on your page, as Webring has a bad tendency to assign new code "numbers" to existing sites. You do not need to place the ringcode on your front page or on a webring.html page; I've turned those particular functions off for the Journey Ring.
(and THANKS, Webring, for making me find about the changes the hard way grumble grumble.)
Chris
