I come from a long line of crafters. My grandmother and mother sewed avidly and my sister and aunt paint, draw, quilt, and manage their own jewelry-making businesses. I have been knitting since I was 12 years old.

I think about knitting and the world of knitters. I spend time pondering the World of Ethics and Global Health. I am a librarian and I think a lot about the world of publishing and information literacy.
