objectives of national anti malarial programme.

I have a patient who was taking malarial prophylaxis in Haiti for 3 weeks, then had vomiting for 2-3 days, stopped the prophylaxis, and never resumed it. She now has gone 4-5 weeks without it, and has been back in the U.S. for 2weeks without symptoms. Should I advise her to take a 2 week course of the prophylaxis now or just watch for symptoms? There are a number of different types of medicine for treatment of malaria. Such as quinine,chloroquine. While, quinine makes nerve painful, and chloroquine has a high recrudescence. As my experience, Artecom (general name: compound dihydroartemisinin), a artemisinin-based compound therapy is greatly recommended for malaria treatment,as my own experience. 2 tablets one dose, it is tablets for easily taken, light side effect.In 2 days, the malaria will go away. Artecom is very good!
