hi im new to metal detecting i want to know the first thing i should do when i arrive at the site i want to scan over. i just been reading in the manual and i think u should use your groung balance first then set the iron discrimination. depending on what im looking for i should be in certain modes such as all metal mode then i have disc 1 and disc 2 modes. i have a garret at gold model can someone help me understand if what im doing is right.
