We have a blue n tan mini doxie that is approx 9 weeks old. He has began to get small sores on the top of his head. They look more like scabs. Does anyone have a suggestion on what I can do to help him? I know that blue's are prone to having coat/skin problems
I am looking for information on the Wheaten color that occurs in wirehaired Dachsies. I've seen pictures of Wheatens, but I can't find any sort of genetic information on the color anywhere. If you have ever bred a Wheaten wirehair, or had a litter that contained Wheaten wirehairs, I would appreciate any information you could give on the sire & dam, and any littermates. I would like to be able to map a probable genetic color profile of Wheatens. Any input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I wonder if anyone has seen a chocolate and cream up close? There is a picture of one at http://www.eastfrontdachshunds.com. I've heard that they are being imported from Japan and Africa and the price is pretty high. If a chocolate and cream is possible, wouldn't it be possible to get a blue and cream, or isabella and cream? Would love to hear any thoughts on this.
