UK Model Railways Web Community creates an Internet community by connecting together those web sites that contain information about or related to the hobby of modelling British Railways.
why am I continually diverted to this site. Ive been trying to go to Uk Model Railways to check which exhibitions are on, and it initially goes there, then about 1 second later, it comes here. I dont want to be here !
At Barnhill MRC we wish for everyone to enjoy the hobby whether they are a scratch builder or have a small train set & we hope we can give people ideas & enthusiasm
My website contains details of two 4mm:ft P4 layouts, 'Pulborough' and 'Brighton Road', and decribes some of the techniques used to build the layouts and stock.
4mm scale railway model of Edinburgh Waverley station, with photos showing each stage of construction. Also reviews of Hornby and Bachmann model railway locos.
The major part of the site is devoted to modelling Irish Railways in 21mm gauge P4. This includes CIE, IE, NIR and Bord na Mona. British Rail and London Transport, my other interests, are also catered for. The site contains various pages on how to start modelling Irish Railways and where to get the bits from as well as some background history.
We are a small friendly group modelling mainly 'Brighton' layouts to Scalefour standards. Our best known layout is the prize-winning 'Pulborough'. We are currently building a new layout representing a station in the London area.
Westford, the Groups 4 mm scale 16.5mm gauge fine scale exhibition layout, is a fictitious main line terminus located somewhere in South Devon near to Plymouth. The period modelled is around 1962, British Railways Western Region. Locomotives and rolling stock are largely built from kits, some with scratch built chassis. Some models have proprietary models as there basis.
