For over 26 years the Winnipeg Steel Orchestra has taught and performed throughout Western Canada and the United States. Our repertoire includes calypso, reggae, classical, folk and Latin. The diversity of our repertoire is reflected in our membership; the group members represent a variety of ages, ethnic backgrounds and musical experience.


Mike Riggert-Harris performs Caribbean steel pan music in the Phoenix, Arizona area and throughout the American Southwest. Mike has over 20 years experience as a performer. This site features biographical information, songlists, and musical examples of the HAPPIEST MUSIC ON EARTH !

Peo Oertli-Kassim is an ethnomusicologist and professional percussion teacher in Zurich/Switzerland. He is teaching african and latin american drums (since 1981) and has developped the 'Rhythmics Notation System RNS' (PC program available now for free).
