Why would I have an Audiodisc 78 with Amos and Andy on it? Who would take the time to record that at home?

I have been looking for a nice vintage Magnavox turntable for my entertainment room, I have some concerns however. I cannot locate any documentation about a Magnavox Automatic 400? I found one at a good price but I am concerned about performance, has anyone ever heard or seen this turntable?? SERIAL #s3376 WITH 25 CYLINDERS CIRCA 1906

after a lot of endeavour, I have tracked down a Columbia 202 portable gramophone. However, the black tube housing the tone arm has cracked in half in transit from the uk .. it looks like pot-metal.
Is this repairable or can I find replacement spare parts?

Mine is six sided, mahogony colored with the large exterior brass phone with crank on the side. It has the HMV logo on front but I see no other identifying marks inside or out. I purchased the player at an antique fair in the UK while living there from 2004-2008. I know there are reproductions from India and Pakistan out there but have no clue how to tell the difference. Thanks

Anyone have an idea for a source of good bedplate decals for Columbia Q or Busy Bee phonographs?

About 5 years I was attending a house auction in Fresno,phonograph stuff came up was junk. I bid on a few items and waited quietly for ,you can guess, a schoolhouse rack one box. One guy was bidding crazy on
junk but I bid him up then dropped out and left him hanging on to the junk. went outside for cofee and
heard him other side of a hedge" bid to much for that stuff,wont have enough for that whatever it is."I had him, got it for a song,and still have it pride of my collection. Prefect condition. play, looks and sounds brand new..
