brbrbrbrIf you would like to air WRHS programming, here is some information about us.
brbrbrbrWRHS produces a new hour long program each week. In addition to the shows we
brbrbrbrreceive from outside producers, WRHS Television airs:
brbrbrbrbrAbout Your Health, a medical information program; Class Act, a program featuring
brbrbrbrstudent made films; the children's show Just Kidding Around; The Music Edge;
brbrbrbrthe panel discussion/debate show Problems With Parents; the news magazine The
brbrbrbrRidgewood Reporters on TV; and the interview show The Scoop.
brbrbrbrbrWe also air syndicated programs from Columbia College Chicago such as the soap
brbrbrbropera Hungry Hearts, Music Alive, and the sketch comedy program Out On A Limb.

brbrShows that run under time will have promos and public service announcements
brbrbrplaced in station breaks.
brbrbrbrIn sending tapes, please specify whether the tape should be returned, or if we
brbrbrmay keep it after airing. We encourage producers to include a self addressed,
brbrbrpostage paid envelope.
brbrbrbrA program will not be placed in the schedule until we have received the tapes.
brbrbrWe block book series based on the number of episodes, so a producer should
brbrbrinform us how many episodes are currently ready to air, how many they plan in
brbrbrthe series or how often a new episode will be sent to us. Programs that are
brbrbrevergreen and more regional in scope (i.e. not a daily newscast with time
brbrbrsensitive material relating only to the producer's specific outside of
brbrbrIllinois location) work best.
brbrbrbrWRHS airs on Comcast Cable in Southwest Cook County. WRHS currently airs in:
brbrbrBerwyn, Blue Island, Brookfield, Crestwood, Harwood Heights, Hickory Hills,
brbrbrMelrose Park, Midlothian, Norridge, Northlake, Orland Hills, Palos Hills,
brbrbrPosen, Robbins, Stickney, Tinley Park and Worth, Illinois.

brbrhttp://www.ridgenet.org/wrhs/about/getshow.htm is the page that tells all
brbrabout how to get your program on WRHS Television in Norridge, Illinois. The site
brbrencourages local groups to submit programming... but we can and do accept
brbrshows from other areas. Right now we receive "Zoe's World" (a cooking show)
brbrand "Syncopated Science" from Planet Utica in New York, as well as
brbr"Dark Currents", "Strange America," and "Loose Change" from web ring
brbrproducers. We plan to air "Life As We Know It" as soon as we receive the tapes.
brbrbrWRHS Television will accept tapes on 3/4" U-Matic, S-VHS, VHS or Mini DV.
brbrbrSoon we will accept programs on DVD. Shows are aired based on time slot
brbravailability, and we reserve the right not to air a program or series. Half
brbrhour shows must not exceed 28 minutes and 30 seconds. Hour long shows must
brbrnot exceed 57 minutes and 59 seconds. Programs should be non-commercial.

brbrbrbrThere are a few Producers who'd like to exchange programs with you. Send me
bran email saying "exactly" what you want me to forward to them. Remember to
brtell about your program frequency, TRT, tape format(s), subject matter,
brexchange policies, postage fee policy, contact information and whatever else
bryou would want a potential producer to know about. Your Access Center may
bralso have a policy on this that should be looked into.
brbrI'll put your email on both webrings and the other Producers will take it
brfrom there. If things start to use up a lot of my time doing this, maybe
brwe'll all go to posting our own ads on one of the free newsgroups out there
br(http://smartgroups.com/group/group.cfm?GID=413858)
brbrHope this helps

brbrAnd now, the latest news from other Public Access TV Producers.
brbr"... Say I was wondering. I have heard of producers from other parts of the
brcountry exchanging shows so that the show airs on another station in
branother area of the country. How much do you know about that and is
brthis facilitated through your web ring at all? ..."
brbr At NewTV, we recieve show from different parts of the country, but each show is "sponsered" by a NewTV Member, in good standing. We have a few shows that go out to the surrounding area, but these shows are local in nature and would be interesting for people at a great distance away.
