Details of this railroad in the area of Hopewell Junction, New York. It eventually became part of the Poughkeepsie Bridge Route (an alliance between railroads for a passenger route from Washington to Boston) and later a line of the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad.

The Central New England Railway (CNE) came from northern Connecticut and west across the Hudson River in New York to Maybrook. It crossed the great bridge at Poughkeepsie. It later became part of the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad. In the past few years our tours have covered almost all of the CNE. The 2012 tour will cover the CNE between Canaan and Millbrook/Copake.
