Dream Weaver Farms is a full service horse training and boarding facility. We specializie in western riding lessons and trail clinics for riders of all ages and levels of experience. We train horses from colt starting to working with problem or spooky horses. We also have overnight boarding/camping for people traveling with horses. And miles of trails and guided rides on their horses. We are located in Crockett, VA. but we work with clients and their horses from all over the United States. Certified in the Trainer Incentive Program (TIP) for the Mustang Heritage Foundation, and specializing in the natural horsemanship methods of Clinton Anderson, Ray Hunt, Tom Curtin and Buck Brannaman.
Misty Oaks Farm is a vacation home for outdoor activities: horsemen, hikers, trout fisherman, campers or anyone visiting the mountains of Western North Carolina. Centrally located between Asheville, Hendersonville and Brevard, we have close access to Pisgah National Forest and many numerous tourist destinations of the mountains. Horse owners can bring their horses and keep them in our 6 stall barn or pasture. We also provide a stopover for people traveling with horses in tow. Misty Oaks Farm is also a great event location for weddings, family reunions and the like. It's really a relaxing and beautiful place in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina.
Foundation Quarter Horse bloodlines such as the legendary Joe Hancock is the focus in our breeding program. Our stud choices have a high percentage of Joe Hancock's grandson, Blue Valentine. Our Channeled Bareback Pad has a 5/8 felt pad with an additional piece of felt on the sides, creating a 2" channel over the horses spine. The Bareback Pad has a non-slip rubber bottom and is covered with heavy chap leather. You choose the color and style. The Western style pad has a 7oz. latigo, which is 2 1/4" wide, which attaches to the 2 1/2" SS rigging rings on one side. There is a 1 1/2" latigo tie strap on one side and an off-billet on other. The English style pad has a 2 1/4" latigo over the top coming down to two 1" nylon line billets. The billet uses standard girth and is not included.
