A Windband is a group of Wind Instruments of Brass, Woodwind and Percussion.
Formed in 1990 in Glasgow as an ensemble open to all members of the University of Strathclyde without audition, the University Concert Band has since doubled in size to a substantial band numbering over 60 players at full strength. The repertoire is chosen to include music that is accessible to all players, together with pieces that present the most able with a technical challenge.

Located in the Boston MA metro-west area, this is a concert band for musicians of all ages and many skill levels. As a true community band we do not exclude individual participation in our band based on full sections, band size, or audition skills. The band rehearses and performs year-round. Rehearsals are Monday evenings from 7:30-9:30 at the Community Church, 200 Main Street, Medway MA.
WCWB are a forty plus ensemble formed in 1987 and based on the Wirral Peninsula U.K. The band performs in concert and other events throughout the Wirral area and has had a number of successes in competitions including gold awards in the Community band section of the Boosey & Hawkes Festival
