Caller devastates family with false news of soldier's death
FLAGSTAFF -- A caller devastated the Flagstaff family of a 22-year-old soldier serving in Iraq, falsely telling them that the man was dead.
On Sunday morning, a man called the home of Wayne Hogg's uncle and said "we need to let you know Wayne died two days ago."
The report was false, but it turned into a nightmare for Hogg's family. His uncle, Danny Hogg, says it took the family a full day to get confirmation that Wayne was still alive in Iraq.
Danny Hogg had participated Saturday in a Flagstaff rally to support U.S. troops in Iraq.
Sunday morning, a photo of him taken at the rally appeared in the Flagtaff newspaper. And it was a short time after the paper hit the streets that the call was made to Danny Hogg's home.

Below is the trifold that prompted my tears and desire to help Zach bring awareness to a growing problem in America: Growing numbers of SSRI-related suicides and murders AND the prosecution of capital crimes cases wherein the defendant was under the influence of these anti-depressants. The problem is compounded when you see how Pfizer effectively transforms the state into an accessory to the crimes of those who manufacture, approve for market and prescribe these drugs by supplying persecutors with a document known as The Pfizer Manual for Litigators. This drug manufacturer-lawyer-produced document is given to state persecutors to instruct them on how to beat what is called the Zoloft defense in court by, in essence, stating there is no science to support, claims by the defense in court that Zoloft compelled someone to commit a capital crime.
Isnt the FACT that Pfizer supplies persecutors with this damage-control document a tacit admission that there is a problem? Is it not the epitome of prejudice for the court to believe Pfizer/persecutors over defendants when Zoloft or other SSRI drugs are involved in a murderparticularly when, as in Zachs case, the murderer was a good kid who never got in trouble and was liked by everyone his entire life until this Zoloft-induced incident took place?

According to the latest data, the number of anti-depressant prescriptions written by U.S. doctors in 2007 was 232.7 million in 2007an increase of 25 million since 2003. These drugs react badly with numerous other commonly consumed-substances such as other drugs, alcohol and aspartame.

Veterans make up one in four homeless people in the United States, though they are only 11 percent of the general adult population, according to a report to be released Thursday.
And homelessness is not just a problem among middle-age and elderly veterans. Younger veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan are trickling into shelters and soup kitchens seeking services, treatment or help with finding a job.
The Veterans Affairs Department has identified 1,500 homeless veterans from the current wars and says 400 of them have participated in its programs specifically targeting homelessness.
The National Alliance to End Homelessness, a public education nonprofit, based the findings of its report on numbers from Veterans Affairs and the Census Bureau. 2005 data estimated that 194,254 homeless people out of 744,313 on any given night were veterans.
In comparison, the VA says that 20 years ago, the estimated number of veterans who were homeless on any given night was 250,000.
Some advocates say the early presence of veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan at shelters does not bode well for the future. It took roughly a decade for the lives of Vietnam veterans to unravel to the point that they started showing up among the homeless. Advocates worry that intense and repeated deployments leave newer veterans particularly vulnerable.
"We're going to be having a tsunami of them eventually because the mental health toll from this war is enormous," said Daniel Tooth, director of veterans affairs for Lancaster County, Pa.
